The greatest strength is 4-H. More people recognize its logo than recognize Extension's logo. When I wear my Extension logo shirts, most people think that I have come from Columbus to do the class. We need for Extension to be as well recognized as 4-H. The best scenario would be to be better recognized than 4-H. For the most part I find hard workers and knowledgeable people working in Extension at the County level. In October, I will celebrate my 6th anniversary of working in Extension. There has never been a consistent focus or direction. There is a constant reorganization of districts, regions, specialists, offices, and so on. Now we are going to get a new strategic plan! WOW! Some people in the upper levels need to stop reinventing the wheel and get to work on the best PR possible for Extension or some Counties will be down the tubes, because the Strategic Plan just doesn't fit all of the Counties' needs!
