Note:For this year's State of the Industry survey, we are going to try to aggregate more financial and operating information than we have in the recent past and share it with participants.
Those who have been in the document channel on the service company side will recall a very detailed financial and operating survey that was done during the 1980s and early 1990s.Our goal is to start to move back toward that kind of model with this initial effort, and then expand upon this base during 2010.We'll discuss some of these options during the Document Management Service Providers Executive Forum in Scottsdale on November 6-7.
As a result, the survey will take a bit longer to complete than some in the recent past.But we trust that the increased amount of business-relevant data will be worth the additional effort.
Three things are important to keep in mind in deciding whether to participate in this survey:
1.The information will be kept STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL and will only be presented in aggregate form;
2.The target audience is document-centric VARs, Systems Integrators, and Service Companies.
3.The detailed aggregate results will ONLY be made available free of charge to those who participate in the data gathering.An overview of the results will be provided at the Executive Forum.
