Assessing The Bioeconomy

Introduction: Major changes are taking place in agriculture because of what is being called the “bioeconomy.” The rapidly growing bioeconomy is producing fuel, energy and products from agricultural crops, grasses, and forest materials. While there is the potential for positive outcomes such as higher farm crop prices, less export dumping, and less dependence on polluting fossil fuels, there are also concerns about negative impacts on food security and natural ecosystems. The Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy is interested in finding out what you think. To better understand where the bioeconomy is, and where it’s going, we want to find out about your hopes and concerns. Thank you for taking a minute to help us with this survey. The cumulative results of this survey will be posted on our web site so that we may all benefit.
