Thank you for participating in the AALL Gen X/Gen Y Caucus survey on Alternative Work Schedules. This survey is confidential and open to all regardless of generation. Any identifying information in your responses will be removed and kept private. The survey will take approximately 5 minutes to complete. To assist us in obtaining consistent survey results, alternative work schedule (AWS) means a flexible or compressed work week. This definition excludes the following: *telecommuting *evening/weekend reference librarian *part-time positions *full-time positions mandating evening or weekend work in the job description A flexible work week means a work week consisting of the hours (either 35 or 40) and days (five in a seven-day period) that would be worked by an employee on a regular schedule, but in which the daily hours worked may vary from day to day in order to meet the professional requirements of the position. A compressed work week means a work week of fewer than five days in a seven-day period or fewer than ten days in a 14-day period. Thank you for your participation.
