Introduction:
The Kern County Superintendent of Schools Regional Occupational Program in partnership with the Antelope Valley Unified School District, Delano Jt. Union High School District Adult School, Kern High School District Regional Occupational Center, Mojave Unified School District, North Kern Vocational Training Center, and the West Side Regional Occupational Program is in a process of creating a five year Carl Perkins Career and Technical Education (CTE) 2008-2012 Local Plan.
Purpose:
Federally funded, the Perkins Act provides vocational-technical education offering sequences of courses directly related to preparing individuals for paid or unpaid employment in current or emerging occupations requiring other than a baccalaureate or advanced degree.
The CTE plan intent is to incorporate current needs and future trends in the business and education community. An important aspect of the plan is to have input from career and technical stakeholders in Kern County and the Antelope Valley. Input from the community/business leaders in the local industry market is a key piece in developing a viable Local Plan for the entire region.
Length:
The questionnaire has 15 questions and should take less than 5 minutes to complete. Your input will help guide the CTE Local Plan. Please complete by September 22nd so that input can be included in the CTE Local Five Year Plan.
