The Caltech Biotechnology Club has organized a trip to the Bay area in San Francisco for tours of local biotechnology companies. We hope our members can use these opportunities to learn more about industry and create professional relationships with industry leaders. We will depart the evening of Sunday, August 23rd and return the evening of Tuesday, August 25th. We will be visiting Lawrence Livermore National Labs, Genencor, Life Technologies, and Genentech (2 companies per day). Lunch will be provided each day (by Genentech and Life Technologies). Additionally, the Alumni Association is hosting a Bay area Caltech alumni social for the night of Monday, August 24^th, with food and drink.  

Because the focus of our trip is a professional and club-based one, we require that all participants attend all events, that all participants participate for the full duration of the trip, and that all participants travel with our group. The cost will be $100 per person, and includes airfare and hotel stay. All participants must stay in the hotel with the group.
