The GBV working group ( part of the Protection Cluster) is considering setting up a community of practice and hosting an inter-active web-based platform to allow our GBV colleagues to exchange practice across agencies, from
field to HQ and between field offices. We would like to know what features you would find useful and how you would utilize such a resource.

We would like to establish a community of practice in order to provide staff and colleagues (UN and NGO) a
place to ‘meet’, discuss their work and current issues, and capture some of the lessons learned and good practice emerging. A recent review of the GBV Coordination training at Ghent showed that this type of knowledge networking platform is
much needed.

We hope the community of practice will allow people to plug into the fast developing policy dialogue at HQ, and provide adequate opportunity to exchange with colleagues
doing similar work in other countries.
