Volunteer Incentive Survey

The purpose of this survey is to help the IAFC develop a better understanding of the types of incentives offered by local departments in the United States, Canada, and elsewhere. This information will be used to
educate members of Congress on the variety of incentive programs currently being offered to volunteer personnel.

The IAFC is working to ensure the passage of the Volunteer Responder Incentive Protection Reauthorization Act of 2009 (H.R. 3666). This bill would amend the IRS Code to increase the exclusions for benefits provided
to volunteers by raising the base from $360 to $600 annually and by extending coverage through the 2013 tax year. Current law will expire at the end of this tax year.

The survey will not identify your department; all survey information received will be compiled by state/province or country.
