Business Assistance Program:

Helping Area Businesses Survive and Thrive

The Chambers of Commerce in Long Beach, Lomita, San Pedro and Wilmington are conducting brief, confidential and free business surveys in their service areas to rapidly identify and assist companies who are most at risk for downsizing in the future because of the current economic situation.

When you complete this quick survey, the local Chamber will be able to identify and assess your critical needs and, if necessary, assemble a response team to connect you to economic development resources that will assist you retaining and strengthening your operations.

The Pacific Gateway Workforce Investment Board initiated the Business Assistance Program and the City of Los Angeles Workforce Investment Board has generously partnered to jointly fund this strategy. The two Boards are committed to retaining and increasing employment opportunities for job seekers in the WIB's service area. The funding for this program is provided through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
