CARNM New Member Questionnaire

The New Member Questionnaire is a mandatory requirement for new CARNM members. Please fill out each question below and send an email to admin@carnm.com to inform us that you have completed this requirement.

All questions are based on information provided in the Orientation Resource section of the CARNM website.

* Who is this year's CARNM president?

* What is the first objective of the Commercial Association of REALTORS®?
To promote and maintain high standards of conduct in the real estate profession as expressed in the Code of Ethics of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®.
To unite those engaged in the commercial real estate profession for the purpose of exerting a beneficial influence upon the profession and related interests.
To provide a unified medium for real estate owners and those engaged in the real estate profession whereby their interests may be safeguarded and advanced.

* Pursuant to the Bylaws, who is eligible to join CARNM?
Individuals who are engaged actively in the real estate profession, as sole proprietors, partners, corporate officers or branch office managers, and who maintain or are associated with an established real estate or appraisal office.
Individuals, authorized by an appropriate state regulatory agency, who are engaged in the real estate profession other than as sole proprietors, partners, corporate officers, or branch office managers and are associated with a REALTOR ® Member and meet qualifications set out in Article IV of the Bylaws.
Corporate officers (whom may be licensed or unlicensed) of a real estate franchise brokerage organization with at least one hundred fifty (150) franchisees located in the United States, its insular possessions and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

* The Commercial Information Exchange (CIE) is primarily:

* How does Article 11 of the Code of Ethics apply to your business?


"The services which REALTORS® provide to their clients and customers shall conform to the standards of practice and competence which are reasonably expected in the specific real estate disciplines in which they engage; specifically, residential real estate brokerage, real property management, commercial industrial real estate brokerage, land brokerage, real estate appraisal, real estate counseling, real estate syndication, real estate auction, and international real estate.

 

REALTORS® shall not undertake to provide specialized professional services concerning a type of property or service that is outside their field of competence unless they engage the assistance of one who is competent on such types of property or service, or unless the facts are fully disclosed to the client. Any persons engaged to provide such assistance shall be so identified to the client and their contribution to the assignment should be set forth."
