Candidate 10
Name: Lourens Andriesse
Company/Organization: Hewlett Packard
Title: EMEA Oracle Applications Growth Team
Board Position Interest: Not Specified
I am running for the OTM SIG Board of Directors because I believe I can bring the global user participation of the OTM SIG to a higher level, both quantitative and qualitative.
- Over 7 years of hands-on OTM experience on most continents with G-Log, Oracle, MavenWire and as contractor, managed 6 full OTM implementations and contributed to scores of other OTM projects.
- Led knowledge sharing initiatives for Oracle's OTM Consulting teams in the US, Europe and India, such as moderating the OTM Forum and setting up a Wiki.
- Founder and main contributor of OTMWIKI.com in 2009, a great source of information for the OTM community to share best practices with more than 200 registered members.
- OTMFAQ member since 2007 and in Top-5 Thanked list.
- 2011 OTM SIG Conference presenter.
- I believe that OTM implementation success isn't just about client ROI, but building strong, reliable, mutual and long-term relationships in the relatively small OTM community. As a result, I am still the OTM go-to guy for dozens of former colleagues, clients and competitors.
- Finally, I don't tell people what they want to hear but what they need to hear. The harsh truth may be that OTM isn't the right product to support a business process, or a client's organization isn't capable to manage the changes imposed by an OTM implementation: I'd rather be the messenger of bad news even if this means losing a job, than deliver not the best result for the client.
