Zoomerang Gives Back: Meet Our Participants


 This holiday season, Zoomerang is giving back! We’ve caught the holiday bug, and we’re giving $3,000 to a non-profit of your choice. All you have to do is go to our online survey and vote for your favorite non-profit before December  19th! The winner will win $3,000, and two runner-ups will win $1,000.

Not sure which non-profit you want to vote for? That’s OK - we’ve compiled some brief information to help you choose!

1.    American Heart Association    

Our mission is to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. That single purpose drives all we do. The need for our work is beyond question. Vote for American Heart Association.

2.    Autism Speaks    

Autism Speaks was founded in February 2005 by Bob and Suzanne Wright, grandparents of a child with autism. Their longtime friend Bernie Marcus donated $25 million to help financially launch the organization. Since then, Autism Speaks has grown into the nation's largest autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. 3.    Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay   

 

Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay enables all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Vote for Boys & Girls Club of Tampa Bay.

4.    Childhelp, Inc  

 

Founded in 1959, Childhelp® exists to meet the physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs of abused, neglected children. Childhelp operates The National Child Abuse Hotline (1- 800-4-A-CHILD) and Child Advocacy Centers for the abused and neglected. Vote for Childhelp, Inc.

5.    Clean Energy Action   

Clean Energy Action is working to decarbonize the electrical grid by moving our state and nation towards renewable energy sources - primarily by educating and mobilizing community citizens and leaders on coal supply issues, coal pricing, and the human and environmental threat from coal reliance.  Vote for Clean Energy Action.

6.    Communities in Schools of Georgia   

Communities in Schools of Georgia is part of the largest dropout prevention network in the nation, surrounding students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. We provide support to communities throughout Georgia. Vote for Communities in Schools of Georgia.

7.    DAMMADD, Inc  

On January 29th, 2001, I lost my 19-year-old son to an accidental drug overdose. There are no words to describe the pain of my loss. On that day, Dads and Mad Moms Against Drug Dealers was born. DAMMADD is a grassroots, anti-drug organization committed to helping in the fight against the drug problem. Vote for DAMMADD, Inc.

8.    Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer

For more than 35 years, Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer has worked throughout Eastern Pennsylvania to promote, foster and perpetuate the game of soccer to the region’s youth. Vote for EPYSA.

9.    Excellent TEEN Choice, Inc

Excellent TEEN Choice (ETC) empowers teens through various afterschool projects including volunteer activities, entrepreneurial classes, and empowerment workshops. ETC focuses on all teens by encouraging them to make excellent choices, regardless of socioeconomic background. Vote for Excellent TEEN Choice, Inc.

10.    Finding the Inner Me  

 

Our mission is to provide a positive and culturally diverse environment where females acquire tools to enhance the quality of life, while taking a female inside her self to connect with others in an open atmosphere. Vote for Finding the Inner Me.

11.    Grantmakers Forum of New York    

Grantmakers Forum of New York strengthens the communities of Upstate New York by bringing funders and service providers together to focus on community problems and partner to solve them.  Together they share their experiences, learn from experts in the field, and increase their impact. 12.    HUGS (Help, Understanding & Group Support)   

HUGS (Help, Understanding & Group Support) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency tucked away on the graceful slopes of Diamond Head. HUGS provides services to families in the state of Hawaii, with a child, birth to age 21, diagnosed with a life threatening illness. Vote for HUGS.

13.    Junior Achievement of Central Virginia

Junior Achievement of Central Virginia brings role models from our business community into the classroom to deliver educational programs about free enterprise, economics, and personal finance, enhanced by their own real world experiences. Vote for Junior Achievment of Central Virgina.

14.    Junior Golf Foundation of America   

We provide children the opportunity to learn and play the game of golf. We focus on instilling that golf is "More than a Game" through our comprehensive education & development program. Our purpose is to instill positive life values, integrity, work ethic, self-discipline, pride, responsibility and respect. Vote for Junior Golf Foundation of America.

15.    Nonprofit Network   

Nonprofit Network is a Management Support Organization, We strengthen nonprofit governance and management. We serve 200 organizations providing affordable training, networking, and consulting opportunities so nonprofits accomplish their mission effectively. Vote for Nonprofit Network

16.    Phantom Regiment   

 

We are a youth organization dedicated to the development of self-esteem and self-reliance. It encourages team work, sportsmanship, civic pride and contributions of one's personal best to a group effort. These lessons are learned through a musical and marching activity. Vote for Phantom Regiment

17.    Reading Partners

The Reading Partners program focuses on children from low-income communities who are struggling with reading. Working with partner schools, the program offers children one-on-one tutoring with a caring volunteer who is dedicated to one child's success. Vote for Reading Partner.

18.    School District 27J Capital Facility Fee Foundation

This organization collects donations from builders and developers to assist the school district to build new school facilities.  The Foundation has raised and applied over ten million dollars to two new elementary schools, two new middle schools and one new high school in the last ten years. 19.    Special Olympics New Hampshire  

The mission of Special Olympics New Hampshire is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage and experience. 20.    Team Science  

 

The Mission of Team Science is 1) Dedicated to creating a community that fosters growth 2) Promote confidence in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math and 3) Provide high-quality programs and resources for students, teachers and parents. Vote for Team Science.

21.    The Center for Arts in Natick

TCAN serves the Metrowest region by increasing opportunities to experience, participate in, and learn about the arts. To this end, TCAN strives to present music, theatre and children's arts education programs of the highest standard that are available to everyone.Vote for TCAN.

22.    Westgate Community School  

Westgate Community School is a public charter school whose mission is to offer an innovative educational setting to gifted students who may be at-risk in more traditional settings.  We emphasize not just academic excellence, but meaningful social and emotional growth in a technology rich environment. 23.    Wyandotte Education Association

We are a public school district in Michigan.  We get the lowest amount of funds per student than any other district in the state and yet we still do amazing things and our students are successful. We do a lot with a little and would love to purchase some new technology items with any funds received. Vote for Wyandotte Education Association.

24.    YMCA - Freedom Valley  

The Freedom Valley YMCA is a membership association of men, women, & children of all ages, abilities, incomes, ethnicities, & religions.
