Zoomerang surveys can now be sent securely. For each of your surveys you will have the option to automatically encode it, using SSL (Secure Socket Layer). It’s easy – simply check a box to encrypt survey responses and the URL you send out will automatically be secure.

What is SSL encryption?

SSL protects the data collected in your survey. This makes sure that no one else is able to access/hack/snoop/spy/capture data while in transition from your survey taker’s browser to Zoomerang’s data center, creating an added layer of security. A survey link with SSL encryption displays an ‘https’ address (note the addition of an ‘s’ at the end) instead of just ‘http’.

SSL is commonly used for financial institutions, healthcare organizations, government agencies as well as websites that transmit secured information. In order to stay in compliance with HIPAA standards, we recommend that you use SSL encryption for your surveys where you are requesting private or personal information.
