Surveys in Spanish

Want to create your next online survey in Spanish?

Zoomerang gives you the ability to write surveys in Spanish and 40 other languages by supporting foreign characters such as “ñ” when you design your survey. We also offer versions of our top survey templates in Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, and French so that you don’t even have to translate your survey.

It’s important to field your survey in the primary language of your survey respondents so that survey questions are clear and respondents are be able to write their answers comfortably in their own language. Zoomerang also offers access to the Hispanic Reach panel if you are specifically looking to survey Hispanic survey respondents and don’t already have access to a list.

To customize a survey in Spanish using Zoomerang, click the Edit Properties button while creating or editing a survey. This page will provide with options to:

  • Select a language for the survey deployment
  • Change the survey buttons from the English defaults to either plain buttons or custom button labels
  • Customize the instructions and error messages for mandatory questions. Then, provide the text for questions, answer options, prompts, and column labels in the desired language. Review all question attributes to ensure that they appear in the desired language; for example:
    • Choice – One Answer (Bullets) or Multiple Answer (Bullets): Provide the text for "Other, Please Specify" in the desired language if an "other" field is necessary.
    • Rating Scale Matrix question: Provide the text for the N/A column label if "Provide N/A column" is selected; provide the text, if necessary, associated with the numeric ratings; provide the text for the additional comment label if that option is selected.
    • Date/Time question: Provide the column labels for the date and time attributes in the desired language.
    • Name/Address (General): Provide the column labels for the name and address attributes.
    • Yes or No question: This question type is not recommended for non-English surveys because it displays "yes" and "no" on the question buttons. We recommend using a Choice - One Answer question type (bullets or drop-down) and making the answer choices yes or no in the desired language.
